Website Management FAQs

No, the monthly time is there for you every month to reserve your place in our queue and our resources, therefore it does not rollover. Our clients have found that the allotted time is more than enough to accomplish their needs.
The whole purpose of our website care plans is preventative care, so we hope to prevent anything from happening. We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but we will do everything in our power to prevent it. However, if something does happen, we will assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups. Customers on the Advanced plan will have malware removal and backup restoration included, but any additional hack fixes may include an additional fee. Customers on the Pro plan have the Hack Fix Guarantee. Customers on the Basic plan will be charged at our current hourly rate for any backup restoration, malware removal, or other cleanup.

Glad you asked! Content update requests and small design improvements are the most common requests. But anything that can be completed in 30 minutes or less is free game. We just ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website, such as installing a new plugin or full design, will likely result in an hourly rate as those commonly go over the monthly dedicated time.

These are the typical requests that can be completed in 30 minutes or less:

  • Swap photos
  • Add/edit/replace text
  • Update navigation links
  • Footer updates
  • Replace seasonal content
  • Edit pricing
  • Remove/hide pages
  • Edit landing pages
  • Add/remove form fields
  • Change custom field data

Work such as graphic design changes, SEO strategy or consulting, writing copy, or purchasing new plugins or licenses are out of scope and will require a formal quote or hourly charge.

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with your approval, either:

  • Bill for the time exceeded at our current hourly rate.
  • Submit a quote for the requested work for.

Absolutely. We are all about a relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in. Request a cancellation via email to [email protected], and we will immediately stop the next payment.

If you need to cancel your plan, we will transfer the hosting to you. This may incur a transfer fee, as stated in your contract.

In addition, we will also provide a copy of The Website Owner’s Manual, full of all the information you need to continue the maintenance and care for your website, including all login information and a place for you to assign responsibilities.

Although these plans are for sites we build or re-design, we welcome clients who are looking for a long-term relationship with a dedicated web professional.

We first like to do a Website Audit to become familiar with the website, how it was built, and any potential issues that can arise. With the evaluation, we will perform all the website software updates and make a full backup. After this, we will transfer the website to our hosting service.

Most importantly we will make a list of issues to fix and suggestions for improvement needed in order to proceed with the website on a monthly plan. Based on your type of website, this Website Audit is a fixed fee.
